“End 2 End in 10” - 2010,    10 Guys,   10 Days

On the 16th of August 2010, a team of 10 local cyclists will embark on what many consider to be the ultimate cycling challenge within the U.K.

Pedalling an average of 105 miles per day they will travel the entire length of the U.K mainland starting in John O’Groats Scotland and finishing at Lands End in Cornwall, England.

Just to add to the challenge they will attempt to complete this ride in 10 days.

The ride will see the team take in some of the U.K’s most stunning countryside including Loch Ness, Fort William, Ben Nevis, Lock Lomond, The Lake District, Cheddar Gorge and the rugged but beautiful Cornish coastline.

Although the team are all fairly experienced cyclists this challenge will most definitely present a severe test of both physical and mental strength throughout its entirety. Hours and hours and miles and miles of training have already been clocked-up with this only set to increase over the coming months to ensure that each and every one of them is fully prepared for an event as demanding as this.

The team will be supported throughout the event by a 2 man back-up vehicle. This vehicle will carry food, drink, tools, bike parts and even spare bikes to ensure that they have everything they need, when they need it and that the ride runs as smoothly as possible.

In a separate vehicle the team will be followed every step of the way by a 2 man film crew. The preparation, the training, the highs and lows of the ride each day and in-depth interviews will all be captured on film with the end result being a “Fly on the wall”, warts and all documentary available to purchase after the event. All proceeds will of course be donated to our worthy charities.

Why ??????

To raise vital funds for 3 local charities who are very prominent in the team’s thoughts.

North Devon Hospice, Children’s Hospice Southwest and Families for Children adoption all have a special place in the team’s hearts. They rely heavily on events like this to raise awareness of their work and also to allow them to continue providing invaluable care and support for individuals and their families affected by the situations that they represent.

Please take time to look around and enjoy our website, meet the team and find out what makes each one of them tick but most importantly, please dig deep, visit our “sponsor us now” page and give as much as you can to our very worthy charities.
